Prefects
The school body elects a girl and boy School Captain and Vice Captain, along with Prefects. These students are elected for the leadership skills and are given responsibilities which facilitate the smooth running of our school. They are encouraged to be role models for junior school members and to provide support for their peers when needed.
Sport House Captains and Vice-Captains
Students from each Sport House Team elect two Year 6 boys and girls to be Captain and Vice-Captain for their respective teams. These leaders represent their House Teams at Carnivals and lead other team members in chants and support for children competing in events.
Peer Support Leaders
All Year 6 students have the opportunity to be Peer Support leaders in Term 2. An 8-week Peer Support Program is managed by Year 6 students, where they teach and support Year 1 to Year 4 students across the school.
Student Representative Council (SRC)
Our SRC is a group of students from Years 2 to 6 elected by their fellow students, along with the Year 6 School Leadership Team. The SRC members represent the students in the school and organise ways for students to participate and contribute to their school community. SRC members attend regular meetings. The SRC plan many events during the year to help raise money for our charities and projects that are important to the SRC and all students at Matthew Pearce Public School.
