Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association is made up of parents, carers, and community members who care about our school and want to make a difference. We help out with school planning, fundraising, fun events, and volunteering—always working alongside the school to support our students and families.

Joining the P&C is a great way to:

• meet other families
• get involved in school life
• share your ideas
• help shape the future of our school.

Whether you can give a little time or a lot, we’d love to have you on board. Everyone’s welcome—come along, say hi, and see what we’re all about!

P&C meetings

We’d love for you to come to one of our P&C meetings and see what we’re all about—no pressure, just a chance to connect and learn more.

We meet on Tuesdays at 7pm.

• Terms 1 to 3
  • Week 3 – In person at MPPS
  • Week 8 – Online via Microsoft Teams
• Term 4
  • Week 3 – Online via Microsoft Teams
  • Week 8 + AGM – In person at MPPS

After attending a meeting, if you’re keen to officially join, you can sign up and become a financial member, you’ll gain voting rights on decisions made by the P&C. It’s a great way to have your voice heard and help shape the future of our school! If you are not keen to sign up, you are more than welcome to still come along to our meetings. However you just won't be able to vote.

Volunteer at our school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• getting involved in the P&C
• listening to children read in the classroom
• volunteering on sports days and other school events
• helping supervise excursions.
